7 Steps to Awesome Makeup
1. Abstain from wearing too much
Makeup is intended to improve features not attract negative attention to you. That is what wearing an excessive amount of makeup will do; it will bring you undesirable attention. Try not to wear an excessive amount of anything, for example,
i) Eyeliner: dull, thick eyeliner will make you look over made up and will demolish whatever look you were trying to accomplish with your makeup.
ii) Mascara: a lot of mascara looks fake and will chip. It looks particularly terrible if worn with thick eyeliner or dull blue eye shadow.
iii) Foundation: Ensure that your foundation matches the color of your skin. The purpose for wearing foundation is to protect and give the face a smooth look. The key word is blend.
iv) Powder: The same remains true for powder – less is more. Also, make sure to blend your makeup so there are no tell-tale lines
2. Lips
Apply lip liner to totally cover the lips, include color lip liner and your lipstick will last longer. Make sure your lip liner is not showing. Also, make sure your lip color coordinates with your skin tone; dress in cool colors. Just in case you want to make your lips look smaller, keep your liner within your lips. But, if you choose to make your lips look bigger, going outside the natural line of your lips is a big mistake. This can look very chaotic and unnatural.
3. Proper Makeup
Wear makeup that fits the occasion. In the event that you are going to the beach you shouldn't wear the same amount of makeup as you would if you were going out to a party. And, when you are out in the daytime your makeup should be lighter than when you are out for the night.
4. No Makeup
A few ladies don't wear makeup at all, because they do not know how to apply it and are afraid of looking foolish. Just in case you are afraid or unsure, remember to begin with light colors in your shade. Begin gradually and include one product at a time. Try to start with foundation, include mascara, and next add lipstick. If you do not wear makeup often, wearing too much at first might be too much for you, so begin gradually. The primary concern is a little is better than wearing no makeup at all. If you are still intimidated or unsure about how to apply makeup seek out professional advice.
5. General look
Once your makeup is finished it should look natural. Try to stay away from colors that clash. If you have dark skin and dark hair you will look better wearing darker colors; light colors will make you look tired and drained. But if your skin tone is light and your hair is light, light colors will look better on you. Dark colored makeup will make you look older and rather rough. If you suffer from oily skin, first use oil control cream and foundation. At that point make sure to wear loose powder, keeping a compact of loose powder with you for touch ups.
6. Hair Color
Your hair color should be in agreement with your skin. If you have dark hair and you want to color your hair, keep it near a similar shade. If you have light hair, use light colors. As you age your skin will lighten in color, your hair also will lighten up. One final thing about hair color – if you decide to color your hair make sure to keep it up with the maintenance don't give your roots a chance to appear.
7. One final thing
Keep makeup looking fresh and new by doing quick touch ups. Try not to give your makeup a chance to fade off or crease. Stay beautiful!!!
